Hi there, folks!

I have been lurking in this forum for some time, and just yesterday I bought my first new (used) Miata! I have been in love with Miatas since I saw my brother pull up in one when I was 12 years old.

My new (used) baby is a Green 99 with black top and black cloth seats. We (my Fiancee and I) found here on craigslist, and flew out to dallas to buy her (YAY FUN FARES!) and drover her back. She has a few quirks, (along with a few dings, scratches and bumps) but for a 10 year old car she is in almost spectacular mechanical shape. For a young couple with not much money, this is nothing short of a dream car!

We hope to meet you folks on some runs in the near future - we learned the first lesson of Miata ownership - WEAR SUNSCREEN - today.

Brendan and Tiffany,

Welcome to the Zoom Zoom world of Miata ownership. On behalf of our club, we look forward to meeting you both and hope you join soon! You've gotten off to a good start by 1. Buying a great car and 2. Signing up on our forum!

You've found us at a very good time as we have our next monthly meeting Tuesday evening, August 25th at the IHOP on Hwy 1604 @ 281 North. Most get there around 6:30 to eat and the meeting starts at 7:30. We will look forward to seeing your new car and meeting you both!

Feel free to ask any questions here on the forum or you can call me anytime on my cell at 210-846-1944.

Again, Welcome!!!

Brendan -

In addition to the sunscreen, keep a brush in the car for Tiffany and ballcaps & sunglasses for you both.

Welcome aboard!

Hey, welcome.

Just my 2 cents. You have very heavy wheels on your car. Too heavy for a Miata. Get something under 15 pounds to unleash it's real potential :)
