My son is graduating from college next week and I asked him what trip he might want for graduation. His answer - a trip to Sebring, Florida during the week of March 17 for "12 hours of Sebring!" :racer: That's my boy! So now I am shopping for hotels in that area (where I've never set foot). Of course all of the immediate hotels are booked. Anyone know anything about that area and have any ideas or sources for info?
Thanks all!

Well, our tickets to 12 hours of Sebring arrived last week. We are a go!
Found the coolest accommodations ...
I kept calling hotels in the area and up to 2 hours away. All of them were at ridiculous prices. I started looking at RVs to rent and park. Again ridiculous. Then I called an RV park to see if we could stay in an RV on the premises. Nope. The second one I called had cottages on the premises. They had to prorate their $1,000 a month rate for the four days. Right, we are staying for 4 days at less than $140 total! That is less than the daily rate for the hotels and we will be right in Sebring! The only catch ... it's a senior citizen park. Works for me and my son could care less. We have a four day pass for the race and will be at the track all day!
Gotta love it!

I'm getting more into this as the event gets closer. For those of you that don't remember, this is my son's graduation trip that he chose and he invited me to go with. The reason I'm getting more excited is that there is a car entered with a Mazda engine now. It is the Dyson Racing Team Lola B09 86 (http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2636/3960493346_e753fe7262.jpg). Now that is a cool looking car!
Will send some pics to George while we are there! Yee ha!
