Drift Day in San Antonio Dec 5th!

I found no harm in posting this thought maybe some of you would be interested in seeing a miata drifting. if your not sure what it is is similiar to Auto X in the way that there is a cone course but the run is not timed and the car is sliding the entire time. runs are judged on entry speed, angle, and ability to control the out of control car. you'll really just have to see for yourself the event is free to spectators. or if you think you wanna try $50 bucks will let you run all day.. or bring your helmet and ill gladly give you a ride.. or a slide haha...

well just to let you guys know the Miata did great actually better than alot!

the day started with a little rain, then stopped and was clear for the rest of the day. so we drifted all day as the course dried up. (these events go on rain or shine) i never changed my tires and still drove home on them. and trust me i went all day, non stop.

it was loads of fun and alot more turned out than expected, so the odds of having another here in San Antonio is looking pretty good.

there was two Nissan Skylines, and a Twin Turbo Viper, alot of 240sx's, a few AE86's, supras, camaros, mustangs, Rx7's, miatas, and more.. ill upload some few pics we have but were expecting alot more later..

Sorry, but I didn't see this post until it was too late to attend. When is the next event? I'd really like to see what drifting is all about...you can only get so much from reading about it in the mags.

Thankyou to whoever cleaned up my post and made it more suitable..

Yes drifting is a very fun sport and the skill does come in handy in many situations...

Our next local event is set up for January 30th at San Antonio Raceway i will keep you posted on the info.. as long as me posting about it doesnt bother anybody..

I was hoping to go...but too many things came up at the same time....hopefully i'll have some KYB's on my car come january....if not look for another white miata from victoria sometime next year.
