Our next highway cleanup is next Saturday, July 23rd.
Show Time: 8:00 A.M.
Go Time: 8:15 A.M.
Meet: Outside the Auto Department of Sears at Rolling Oaks Mall. We will have breakfast at Grumpy's following the cleanup.
For those of you new to the club I'll give you a little more detail. Our club is contracted with TXDOT to provide Highway Litter Control on a 2 mile section of 1863 starting at 3009 and heading west. I'm sure everyone sees the Highway cleanup signs all over and we have our own acknowledgin our club. We've been doing this for a few years now and it is our only continuous community service. We are very organized and we complete the job in short order.
I really need to have a good showing this time as four of my regulars will be taking off for their extended trip to Alaska. It only takes us a little over an hour to cleanup the entire 2 mile section of 1863 so you'll still have plenty of energy for your other weekend activities. An added bonus is the trip to Grumpy's for breakfast afterward. They usually reserve the upstairs area for us so we don't scare the natives to much ;)
