Hi Richard, or is it Dennis?
I just wanted you to know that we haven't been ignoring your request for a run, but have you officially joined the club? I ask that because most people post their run info on Yahoo Groups. You can register there and see what runs are planned, but if you are a member, you will also get the newsletter with the current and future runs listed on the back page. I saw you were looking for a run around Columbus day, and we had a great run to Cuero on Saturday, Oct 8.
You need to get signed on to Yahoo Groups to get automatic e-mails of upcoming events. I would really encourage you to sign up for the Texas Miata Round Up in Kerrville for the week end of Nov 11-13. You would definitely get a fix for a Miata run. Also, if you haven't been to a meeting yet, join us on Oct 25 at Mama's Cafe on San Pedro, actually access road north of Bitters. We eat at 6:30, and start the meeting at 7:30.
I hope all this is not redundant, but just wanted to make sure that you had the info.

I was planning on attending the last meeting to pay my dues and join. But something came up. I will be at the next meeting to accomplish this. I am already signed up on the yahoo group but I have only received one e-mail in the last two weeks. I was unable to go to the last parade, I was in the Floresville peanut festival parade that day. Anyway I hope to see all at the meeting. Thanks

Dennis -

What end of town do you live on, how long a dirve are you looking for and how short a notice are you willing to go play with?

I live in Floresville. But as of last night, the car is acting up again. I am going to have the codes checked at lunch.

Hmm...

Most the runs I'm familiar with are North of San Antonio. (The others head West...)

So, once more I ask, how much lead time would you need for a run. (Meaning if I get back from my trip early Fri and can scheme a route, would a phone call Fri night be warning enough?)

:::jumping up and down:::: Hey, I wanna go! I'm starved for spontaneous runs too! I live in central SA, near Trinity and can almost go anytime! Count me in, please!

Friday would be enough time. If my wife has not already planned something for that weekend. :whack:

OK folks, you asked for it...

Chouki and I will be in the parking lot *behind* the Exxon on the North East quadrant of the Bandera Rd (Hwy 16) and 1604 intersection at 0900 tomorrow, 22 Oct. -- Be gassed, "pit stopped" and ready to go NLT 0930.

Though a little bit later start than "normal" runs, this will allow the folks (hopefully) joining us from the Southeast of town to make the rendezvous.

I have a couple of routes in mind; one long, one moderate. -- Depending upon who shows and the group's interest (time) we'll make a decision.

If the significant other needs encouragement to join or reasoning for your (singular) participation, call it *practice* for the statewdie event in Kerrville next month. -- If you've not already registered, here's the (somewhat) shameless plug for you to contact Pat and "get 'r done"...

great run following Chouki up 16 into Fredrks'bg and back down on that old san antonio road's twisted spine. Great temps and limited traffic always helps.

Those twin tailpipes of yours sounded nice, How'd my XR sound when you followed? Don't you wish you could follow yourself sometimes? :) Thanks for the fun!!!

Chris -

First, thanks for making sure this wasn't a solo event! (For those of you that missed it, we'll see if a longer "heads up" can be issued next time...)

Second, yes, it'd be nice to follow myself to see how I'm setting and hear how I run. Your XRs sound good, especially under throttle... :)

Cheers!
