 Hi gang…just a friendly reminder of the run on 28 Aug to Wimberly….hope to see you there.

Meeting place: Rolling Oaks Mall (near Sears Automotive)

Show: 8:45 AM

Go: 9:00 AM

We’ll take some lesser known roads of northern Guadalupe county and parts of Comal and Hays counties as well. We’ll get to Wimberly in time for lunch and then a drive back to San Antonio. The whole run should last 3 – 4 hours depending on how long lunch takes. We’ll have a semi-organized ride back to San Antonio…but folks can branch off to head home at their leisure on the ride back. See you at the club meeting on 24 Aug and then the run on 28 Aug.

Thanks folks. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves on the run and everyone made it home safely. I didn't bring my camera on this trip...if you took some pics...please share them.

I will echo the thanks of the others, Steve! Had a lot of fun running through the curves and trying to explain to my wife that you are supposed to accelerate out of the curve. Found a good place to eat, unfortunately it was placed among a bunch of those little shops that women love to linger in. So we did a lot of lingering. After all, she let me drive fast so the least I could do was make her walk fast. As I was very uncoordinated and couldn't get my wallet out fast enough, we were unable to complete any purchases and were tossed out of several stores for excessive looking. Apparently there is a community induced time limit for looking without buying. That's what happens when the term "browsing" gets hijacked by the computer industry!

Steve -

Let me echo the sentiment, thanks for a great run. (Including when Jimbo suckered me into the MAJOR dip...)

No shopping in Wimberly this time. My daughter was more interested in getting back for the pool-party scheduled later that day.

I've already sent Luther my pix for the web-site. He is traveling on business (?) and will post as soon as he returns...
