O.K. Miata Nuts,

I mentioned this at the meeting and Dennis has emailed me for more information so I thought I'd post it for everyone. The National Auto Sport Association (N.A.S.A.)is holding their next event at Texas World Speedway on September 25th and 26th. This is one of the sanctioning bodies that our Wheels America Spec Miata Road Race Series uses to conduct our Spec Miata races. N.A.S.A puts on a very laid back event and is very spectator friendly as opposed to an SCCA weekend when spectators are not allowed. If you've ever wanted to come and check out some amateur road racing action this is the ticket. We'll have 35-40 Spec Miatas racing that weekend so they will be lots of racing action. There will also be several other race car classes running during the weekend and there will be a High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) at the same time. I believe their price for the HPDE is $200.00 for both days and includes in car instruction. That will get you 3-4 hours of track time and the sessions are 40 minutes long so you can really get into the groove and work on the line and your technique. They will be using the 2.9 mile road course at TWS which is very fun.

You can check out N.A.S.A.'s website at http://www.nasatx.com/main.asp and the TWS website at http://www.texasworldspeedway.com/

It takes about 3 hours to get to the track in College Station from San Antonio and I can give some hotel recommendations for anyone that wants to stay over.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Jeff
